NorX Employee Spotlight: Alix Morrell

We are what we repeatedly do. This makes excellence not an act, but a habit. Employees who spend their career striving to demonstrate excellence are tough to say “goodbye” to. After 32 years, Alix Morrell is retiring from NorX, and she will be greatly missed.

Regarding Alix, Jeremy Glaze (President of NorX) said, “Alix Morrel has been the backbone of NorX for over 30 years. Her unwavering commitment and exceptional customer service has defined our standards. Alix is loved by all, and she will be extremely missed. Her legacy here will continue through the impact she has had on each of our team members. Congratulations, Alix, on a well-deserved retirement! Job well done! We wish you all the best in enjoying the next chapter of your life. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!”

NorX was a team of just four employees when Alix began her career there. This gave her the opportunity to become very close with coworkers and clients. When reflecting on her time at NorX, she stated, “Many customers have grown to feel like family and providing them with the best service possible has made for an extremely satisfying career.”

Alix has two sons, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a third great grandchild on the way. She is looking forward to spending more time with her family once retired. As a hobby, she and her sister love watercolor painting, and she is excited to “get the old brushes wet” again. Alix comes from a family of musicians. She is also hoping to utilize the extra free time that comes with retirement to fulfill her lifelong dream of learning to play the piano.

When asked about her biggest takeaway from her time with NorX, Alix said, “One thing I take away from my service with NorX is, when customers put their trust in us, we must diligently strive to deliver the best service we can in a timely manner despite any difficulties we may encounter. NorX has been my family for many years, and I hope their new Mellott family will be a rewarding experience.”
